What They Don't Tell You

A dear friend let me borrow a huge pile of cooking magazines.

I'm learning a lot and finding all kinds of new recipes to try.

My favorites are the easy, quick meals.  You know the ones, 5 minute preps, 1 pan, and you've got a full course meal.

Like this recipe I tried last night.

Only 20 minutes of preparation, then bake for 1 hr and Voila!

Or something like that.  (I haven't baked mine yet, so we will see).

And the prep really was about 20 minutes.

Just saying we should give all parts their due credit.

I am a minimalist cook because I'm a laaaazy cook! Sometimes I'll pull out all the stops and do something that requires a ton of pots, pans, mixing bowls, etc. But my favorites are one to two pot deals.

Have you check out Stone Soup? She does 5 ingredient meals in 10 minutes or less. Not sure if it's 10 minutes of prep time or 10 minutes total. I've just started digging in to her blog. Anything to make fresh kitchen meals quick and easy!
