Happy 6 month anniversary!
It's official. This day is the 6 month mark of the start of this blog, living in our new southern location, and the beginning of my simplifying journey.
And to celebrate I thought it would be fun to do a giveaway.
Because I love ya'. And appreciate ya' for joining me on this journey.
Okay, enough of the mushy stuff.
First, what's the prize.
One of my favorite things in the whole wide world.
And guess what? It's not tangible, and doesn't take up any space.
Pretty appropriate I think for our simplifying journey.
Okay, the prize:
A one year subscription to PandoraOne.
A party for your ears for an entire year!
For those of you that aren't familiar with Pandora. Here is a little description:
Pandora is the best way to listen to radio. You can listen to it from any computer or mobile device that has an internet connection. You create a free account, then create your own channels.
This is the cool part.
You create a channel based on an artists or genre of music. The program will then create a channel that plays songs by that artists and similar artists. And you can make as many channels as you would like.
Here is a picture of what it looks like:
The awesome part is with your one-year subscription you will have unlimited, ad-free listening.
Here is further explanation if needed.
Because I love ya',
*Oh, and Pandora has no clue who I am. No affiliation, no sponsorship, blah, blah, blah. Just a favorite of mine I thought you would enjoy.

I'll get in on this....
One thing I'm doing to keep my life simple is making sure that I'm maintaining a routine, which means that I'm not sleeping until noon on my days off. It's making a huge difference in my attitude and my walk with God.
I am simplifying by getting rid of the stress of trying to host a lia sophia party and just quitting. LOL
On a more serious note I have been going through cabinets and clothing and getting rid of things that I know longer use or need.
What is something you are currently doing to simplify your life?
I've already done a lot to simplify (donated bags of clothing, decluttered every room, etc.) but the thing I am working on right now is to eliminate commitments. Often, I feel stressed out because I have a hard time saying no to everything I want to do. My schedule fills up constantly and I barely have time to hang out with my own fiance!
On another note: I LOVE Pandora! I listen to it on my iPod every day to and from work. The commercials are annoying, so winning a year's commercial-free subscription would be pretty sweet. :)
i LOVE pandora!!
i'm actually trying to simplify my interests right now. i want to be and do so much, but there's just no possible way i can do it all, especially at the same time! so i've narrowed my list down to 2 or 3 things to focus on right now. it's difficult to let so much fall away but i'm much less stressed. :) we'll see how it goes!
great giveaway!
I am working to simplify my life by forgiving myself for not being perfect. Not worrying if every item in my home matches (sheets don't match the bedspread), or if everything in my home is perfectly neat, or if I finish absolutely every project I start. As long as we are comfortable and having fun, the little stuff just doesn't matter.
laughing at the above responses! very cute stuff-
i am simplifying by getting rid of junk- one cabinet, one room, one negative person at a time! (did i say that?) - don't tell!
oh yeah, and congrats on your six months! (I'm not trying to cheat by leaving another post- but i really do like to win stuff)
While I am not Catholic, I am intrigued by some aspects of the observance of Lent. Giving up something for 40 days sounds like a good thing. Initially, I considered giving up chocolate, but since I only eat chocolate about 3 times a year, that does not seem like much of a challenge.
Instead, the 40 bags in 40 days challenge seemed like a perfect fit for "In Search of Space and Time..". So that's what I am doing - simplifying by trying to declutter 40 bags in 40 days...
I've been taking clothes to the consignment store. I get to clean out my closet, plus make some money!
We cut the cord on cable :) It saves us an extra 100.00 a month. We also try to eat at home as much as possible. Oh and we love coupons :)
I have simplified my life by getting rid of all but one small bookshelf of books and a few dvds. I now use the public library for what I need and return the items when I am finished. It makes a wonderful outing with all of the joys of consumption, but none of the costs and guilt.
